Global Cross-Border Platform
End-to-end design, development, deployment and operation of a global cross-border platform, migrating legacy code to a modern stack
On the product team, I was responsible for development and operations across a global cross-border platform, from design and development to deployment and issue management.
What I did
- Migrated the JavaScript, React and Express legacy code to TypeScript, Next.js, React Query, Emotion and Nest.js
- Improved existing features and built new ones across the admin console, user client and server API (Next.js, Nest.js, MySQL, Sequelize, Docker)
- Designed and built per-country currency selection, exchange rate updates and a currency conversion system
- Integrated payment APIs for cards, KRW and local currencies
- Automated the deployment pipeline with GitHub Actions
